What do you like most about working at Phi? “My current role is ensuring the overall engagement for our client is delivering efficiently qualitative work, as well as overseeing the stability and progress of the engagement. What I like most about working at Phi is the diversity of projects and thus opportunities one can be exposed to. Although all clients in risk regulatory area must follow the same regulations, each client comes with its specific business exposure, with specific data models and/or specific architecture that is very interesting to learn as a consultant. On top of the technological diversity, Phi works with clients that have worldwide coverage, so we, as consultants, get to experience cultural diversity and different ways of organizing work. The feeling of achievement is what always keeps me running. More recently, I have found motivation in supporting others reach their goals and help them progress.” What misconceptions do people have about being a consultant? “A common misconception that people have about consulting, is that they think any good developer can be a consultant, but the truth is consultancy requires much more than technical knowledge. A consultant needs to understand the client data & architecture to be able to propose better solutions, a consultant needs to collect information from various sources, perform analysis and provide solutions. But above all, a consultant needs to adapt to the client ways of working, needs to stay proactive while also proving flexibility for exploring new areas out of their comfort zone.” Would you like to work with Imane or with our wider Sophis / Fusion Invest Team, either as a client or as a colleague?
