About the Practice As part of our partnerships with various clients, we are currently expanding our quant & technology teams to keep pace with the rapid growth in this business. Our consultants gain exposure to a variety of projects across asset classes as well as coverage areas (such as front office, pricing & analytics, risk methodology, model validation and more), with each project typically taking 12 to 18 months. As a firm we engage in a wide range of services including but not limited to: Front office development and engineering (including directly supporting the trading desks, Pricing & Risk engines) Quantitative development which includes refining and optimising the code developed by model developers Quantitative IT work such as improving the backend infrastructure and computation platforms About the Role and Responsibilities The consultant will be working closely with key business stakeholders, development, and analytical teams to understand the business requirements and work towards enhancing our clients Front Office, eTrading & Risk Management Systems. Main responsibilities will include developing code, blending it together to be run under single scenario, building various algorithms, along with investigating and explaining differences in results between potential legacy and newly developed systems. Key Skills To be successful in the role, the ideal candidate will have a combination of functional and technical skills such as: Strong experience in enterprise-level Java development, with deep understanding of Java internals including JVM, memory management, garbage collection, and performance tuning Hands-on experience with Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring/Spring Boot, Hibernate/JPA, multithreading Practical expertise with relational databases, such as PostgreSQL, and SQL Server—covering schema design, indexing, and query optimization for analytics workloads Good awareness of enterprise engineering practices, such as fault tolerance, scalability, logging, monitoring & telemetry, CI/CD, containerisation, and modern tools like Git, Maven, Jenkins; cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) is a plus Experience of working in a financial services or capital markets environment delivering enterprise solutions as part of a global team Problem-solving mindset: history of proposing and implementing “seen-it-before” solutions under real-world constraints Extra skills: Experience of front office capital markets technology, including pricing, risk, and trading systems, event-driven architectures, and full trade lifecycle (pre- and post-trade flows) Understanding of valuation inputs and outputs, as well as numerical optimisation techniques in a capital markets sell-side context Next steps This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-leading Front Office & Quantitative technology consultancy which offers the chance to accelerate your career by working with multiple elite financial institutions.
