Role & Responsibilities 

We are looking for a hands-on Lead Java Developer to deliver high-performance e-trading and risk solutions for top-tier financial institutions. This role combines coding, technical leadership, and stakeholder engagement, helping clients modernize and maintain mission-critical systems:

• Lead design, development, and maintenance of Java-based trading and risk applications. 
• Own the full SDLC for critical systems, ensuring high-quality, scalable, and low-latency solutions. 
• Build high-throughput, fault-tolerant services for pre/post-trade risk, market data, and order management. 
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, quants, and analysts to translate requirements into robust solutions. 
• Drive technical standards, code quality, and best practices across teams, including code reviews and testing strategies. 
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in development and deployment. 
• Ensure systems meet regulatory, operational, and security requirements.   

Key Skills:

Necessary 

• Strong Java expertise (Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot, REST APIs, microservices) 
• Excellent hands-on experience building multi-threaded, high-performance systems  
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational databases 
• Excellent track record as a Technical Lead owning delivery and providing technical guidance 
• Proven expertise in client communication, stakeholders, and team management 
• Experience taking ownership of the entire SDLC, from development to deployment and testing 

Nice to have:

• Capital Markets experience, leading teams for eTrading or Risk platforms  
• Hands-on experience building reactive, non-blocking systems using Spring WebFlux, Reactor, or RxJava 
• Degree in Computer Science, IT or related fields
