Life at Phi: FC25 Tournament Unites Phi’s Casablanca and Bucharest Offices

Blog

Life at Phi involves a lot of hard work, and so we are happy to organise initiatives at lunch times and in the evenings to help our staff to let off steam and to bond.

We recently hosted a cross-office FC25 Tournament, bringing together players from our Casablanca and Bucharest centres of excellence for a spirited and high-energy competition. These types of activities rely on the dedication and creativity of our Engagement Champions — thank you to each of them for making it all possible.

More than just a gaming session, the tournament was a fun and inclusive way for staff to connect beyond projects and deadlines. With players representing a wide range of departments, the event sparked friendly rivalry, loud cheering, and even a few dramatic last-minute goals.

After several knockout rounds, and with plenty of laughs along the way, we recently announced our winner. This year, the trophy is heading to our Casablanca office! John Mitchell, Phi’s COO, personally handed the trophy to our winner, Abdelhamid El Hand.

The tournament highlighted the camaraderie that defines Phi’s culture and reminded us that even in a fast-paced tech environment, we make time to play.

Although I didn’t make it to the semi-finals, being part of the FC25 tournament was a great experience. Every match was packed with excitement, pressure, and joy.
