As such, Phi Partners have been responsible for the seamless implementation of many Summit upgrades, advisory projects and applied managed services. To take one example, In 2019 Phi Partners were commended for having delivered a “Textbook perfect” Summit V6.1 upgrade in just 8 months.
For several years, Phi Partners has been experiencing a steady growth rate, and we are currently using this to expand into new locations such as Africa and the Asia-Pacific regions. This has brought with it a host of new top-tier clients with Greenfield implementation initiatives and large-scale upgrade projects, supporting both run-the-back and change-the-bank activities. To ensure that we continue to provide the top calibre quality of services, we are looking to extend our team with highly skilled individuals that will be at the forefront of these expansions and who are looking for an opportunity to distinguish themselves in a hardworking and stimulating environment.
We are looking for Summit API Developers that will be ready to take part in the various
different opportunities that will be running all around the world. As mentioned above, the projects
offered by our internationally recognised clients can include regulatory compliance projects such IBOR to RfR, Summit upgrade and implementation projects and general run-the-bank activities. As a Summit API Developer, some of the jobs that you can expect to be doing include Summit stability tests and enhancements, installing new Summit core software for every patch release, moving connectivity between Summit components to SSL and implementing ActiveMQ monitoring. More generally, there will be bug fixing in multiple functional Summit and non-Summit areas, such as position weighted average price and credit risk in addition to going through code to remove unsafe C functions.
The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Summit/eToolkit API’s and prior involvement in Greenfield Summit upgrades and implementations. Due the large majority of our clients being Investment banks, functional knowledge and experience of asset classes such as Fixed Income, Credit Risk and Market Risk is valued. It is also highly desirable for the candidate to have worked with either Bash, Shell, C-Shell or Korn-Shell in a Linux environment.
Aside from Summit-specific development, some of the roles may include non-Summit activities, and so knowledge of C++, perl and python is advantageous. Furthermore, the candidate will be working closely with the team to orchestrate effective co-ordination between the functional areas, so good interpersonal communication skills and a problem solving attitude are required.
