Senior Murex Integration Consultant – London
Phi is supporting a Tier-1 Investment Bank, which is one of the largest North American banks by market capitalization, counting over 88,000 employees globally. The bank operates within a range of numerous financial services, including wealth management, investment management and capital markets products and services on a global level.

The Programme

The client is implementing an Interest Rates Derivatives trading and risk management system, which supports the flow rates trading business. The North American business is already running live in the platform, and the bank’s next goal is working to migrate the European and Asia flow rates business into the Murex platform. The bank integrates with a MarkitWire 3rd party platform using Murex connectivity 2.0 and Bloomberg/TradeWeb, as well as other ECN platforms via ION interfaces that provide STP trade capture and post-trade event features, leveraging Murex Analytics including livebook. There is also support for internal in-house risk systems, counterparty credit and regulatory reporting systems with real time publication of activities from Murex. Settlements are delivered using Swift messages for payment settlements, along with accounting feeds to internal finance systems at the bank.


As such, Phi is looking to on-board a London based post trade workflow and MarkitWire SME to provide L2 support as a Senior Murex Integration Consultant able to help the bank implement and support London trading. The consultant will work very closely with the traders, trade support, settlement and confirmation teams in London, as well as working closely with the production support team and Murex development teams based globally. The consultant can expect to contract, event and exchange post trade workflows within the Murex integration framework to support the STP process, manage the trade life cycle, as well as monitor daily activities efficiently.

Key Skills

  • As a member of the delivery team, the client is looking for a Consultant with more than 7 years of proven experience working on Murex pre/post trade integration Modules including Exchange workflows and Connectivity 2.0, specifically on MarkitWire interface and currently working in Murex 3.1.x versions.
  • In addition, someone with a strong understanding of Interest Rates Derivatives products with regards to how they are configured in Murex as well as experience with FpML to MxML mappings.
  • The consultant should express experience with MarkitWire workflow and interface. It is essential to be comfortable with basic Linux scripting and navigation for debugging and monitoring, with SQL skills.
  • It would be ideal for the Murex Integration Consultant to have proven experience working with settlement workflows and Market Data module.
