Securities Finance (SecFin) Regulatory Business Analyst – Remote / Frankfurt, Germany

The Programme

With the ongoing regulatory developments within the EU SecFin space, our client is expanding their business analysis capacity for the Eurosystem Collateral Management System (ECMS) and the Single Collateral Management Rulebook for Europe (SCoRE) projects. As the ECMS looks to replace 19 different systems all across the EU with a single unified system, our client’s main focus is on the new ISO 20022 messaging standard being introduced and going-live in Nov 2023. Relating to the harmonisation of collateral management practices within the EU, the SCoRE project will have a direct impact on the current Corporate Actions of our client. You will be working with the collateral management team within the Treasury cluster who will be driving these projects, but there will also be collaboration with the Payment and Security clusters throughout this change programme.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • We are looking for an expert SecFin Regulatory Business Analyst to work within our client’s teams and assist them in achieving the mandated milestones from the European Central Bank
  • You will be responsible from the initial requirement gathering & analysis on the necessary changes needed for the existing environment, to ultimately the user training, UAT & SIT testing before go-live. You will be analysing and configuring various Back-Office related systems (including Summit, Apex, OneStack, and other in-house solutions)
  • Your role will require you to prepare the necessary documentation to satisfy all the milestones set out by the ECB in a timely and comprehensive manner. You will be responsible for the clarification of requirements, documentation of design, and co-ordination with developers for technical tasks
  • Ultimately it will be your responsibility to analyse, design and deliver the overall configuration proposal for the existing system architecture that will effectively and efficiently satisfy these regulatory changes.
  • This is a predominantly Back-Office focused role, in an environment where German is mandatory

Key Skills

  • The ideal candidate will have comprehensive exposure to SecFin regulatory projects, and a solid understanding of the recent ECMS and SCoRE change projects
  • You must be a functional subject matter expert for SecFin and collateral management topics. In addition, you will be expected to have practical experience working with SWIFT messaging, and expert knowledge of the new ISO 20022 messaging standard
  • Along with solid product knowledge of Equities, Bonds, Swaps, Repos, Money Markets and FX, you should have technical skills in STP, SQL, XML and JIRA
  • You must be a confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to produce clear functional & technical specifications and documentation for Central Bank regulators
