Phi Partners is working with the Trading Division of the Corporate and Investment Banking arm of a French Tier-1 investment bank that is active in all major assets classes; Equities and FICC.
The client’s technology infrastructure is undergoing a major change programme to create a cross-asset, externalised pricing and risk framework across their vendor products with a focus on the Sophis application.
Historically, Sophis has been used front-to-back for the Equity Derivatives asset class. The goal of their change programme is to reduce its vendor related costs by reducing vendor maintenance costs, upgrade costs and developing new externalised risk engines to comply with the Fundamental Review of the Trading Book (FRTB) regulations as required by Basel requirements. Alongside this, there is also a major upgrade to the latest 7.4 version of Sophis that will be executed in 2021 and 2022.
Phi Partners is looking for a Sophis Business Analyst to work alongside the client’s Sophis team, interacting with stakeholders across Front office, Risk, and technology teams that is executing the change project. The analysts can expect to work on-site (barring local covid restrictions) to drive requirements gathering, analysis and planning. Additionally, the analysts would also participate in testing whilst tracking key quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and open defect counts.
- We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong understanding of equity derivatives and the associated full trade lifecycle.
- Good understanding of Sophis’ front office functionalities and workflows, including order workflow and valuation.
- Additionally, the Business Analyst will be bilingual in French and English with the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude and ability to multi-task.
- Ideally, the Business Analyst would also have skills in using technologies surrounding Sophis such as Oracle SQL, scripting, Windows and Fusion Invest services.
