One of our clients is the investment bank division of one of the world’s largest AAA Asian banking group with more than 50,000 employees and 1.8 trillion AUM. This client provides sophisticated investment banking services, including equity and bond underwriting and M&A advisory services.
Recently, our client has made an important investment to scale out their business in the Asian market. This has necessitated the ongoing support, monitoring and enhancement of their in-house state of the art Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) architecture to ensure the low-latency delivery of information with 100% fidelity. The core architecture is written in Java called Ikasan, which is now serving their London business. As the client is looking to scale their fixed income and fixed income derivatives products, as well as onboard new users through the ION Anvil trading platform from their Asian businesses, significant support is required by our client. Therefore, with a strong established relationship, Phi will be supporting the client from our Bucharest office by providing them with Java experts with expertise in ESB.
We are looking for highly motivated Java Developers, with a keen interest and proven skills to help enhance the existing ESB application. The role will be a part of our delivery team in Bucharest to provide support to the client’s Enterprise Messaging team. This opportunity will expose the candidate to various business areas, including front office, settlements and risk. The project involves technical design, development, delivery into test/production environments and support of modules and microservices within the Ikasan ESB in a Unix (Linux) and Windows environment. The developer will be liaising with users to understand the requirements and produce a detailed plan to ensure the software quality and maintainability via appropriate design and testing methodologies.
As a member of the delivery team, the developer should have intensive experience in Java 8 or the later version and JEE. Experience within the Investment Banking and understanding of Fixed Income and Fixed Income Derivatives industry is a must. The candidate should have extensive experience with JBoss, JMS, Spring and Hibernate. In addition, the ideal candidate will have proven experience in building an automation tool such as Maven and using agile methodologies such as TDD/BDD. It is also expected of the candidate to have experience in integrating widely used trading, risk and processing platforms such as Murex or similar (with good knowledge of the underlying messaging schemas FpML).
It would be highly beneficial if you have experience in using integration frameworks such as Camel, Mule, Spring Integration, Fuse ESB or similar. Experience of working with XML based technologies such as XSLT, JAXB and Atlassian ALM/SDLC tools will be considered as advantageous. It would also be desired if the candidate has used containerisation tools such as Docker and container-orchestration system such as Kubernetes or OpenShift. Along with strong communication skills, it would also be ideal if the candidate have experience with NoSQL such as MongoDB.
