(Front-to-Back) Fusion Invest Business Analyst

About the client
One of our clients is an AAA rated Bank based in the Middle East with over 900 employees in their service. Managing assets of over $60bn, they seek to aid in the social and economic development of their Members through their investment and partnerships, and have established themselves as leaders within ethical and Islamic finance.
The client has an in-flight upgrade to Fusion Invest V 7.3.4 from V 3.3, which includes the implementation of the new Risk Module in V 7.3.4. Alongside this upgrade, Phi Partners will be running the client’s other Change projects, which during 2021 will be delivered in parallel with a 12 month Transition Project comprising a handover from the existing teams, completion of the project activities, and a program of stabilisation and automation. This program will offer the Change Team exposure to the very latest Fusion software applied on the ground for a world-changing fund headquartered in the historic Red Sea city of Jeddah.
About the assignment
We are looking for an experienced hands-on Front-to-Back Fusion Invest Business Analyst to be part of the Change Team. The individual will report to the Phi Project Manager for Change along with three other senior business analysts and a developer. The wider Phi team consists of a three person Support Team and a Transition Project Management Team of two.
The Front-to-Back Business Analyst will work collaboratively with the client’s business representatives and the departing Project Team to elicit and analyse business requirements. They will contribute “best practice” knowledge to functional designs, document functional specifications and design and analyse the business workflow front-to-back. The analyst will also have the responsibility of defining a suitable test strategy and test plan, assist with front-to-back testing and analyse and resolve any issues.
A crucial part of the job will be developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the client stakeholders and individual users in Jeddah. Broader assistance with Change for other functional areas of the system will take place along with testing across the broader programme and reporting defects to Finastra.
The ideal candidate
We require a graduate of technology, finance or mathematics, with proven knowledge of Sophis / Fusion Invest with at least 5 years of experience. They will need to have proven knowledge of the full order/transaction life cycle including the Order Workflow, Compliance Workflow and Back Office Workflow, with experience of these areas in a functional BA role.
It is essential to have an understanding of the financial products traded by Asset and Fund Managers and it would also be great to see some basic technical knowledge, or an interest in obtaining this (Oracle SQL, scripting, Windows and FI Services). The analyst must be a team player with a positive attitude who can multi-task and keep organised. It would also be advantageous to be culturally intelligent or to have had some experience working with Middle Eastern clients.
