Our client is now undertaking a full-scale FRTB project. We are already involved with this project and due to our high performance have been asked to expand on our contributions to further and take over the drive of the project. It is focused on the Front Office, but encompasses the bank Front to Back for Front Arena and Adaptiv Analytics covering all asset classes and instruments. At this stage, we will help them resolve their VaR validation and valuation issues related to the migration of VaR calculations from their legacy Riskwatch system, into the Front Arena platform for the calculations with component calculation results being handled by Adaptiv Analytics and its ned Adaptiv memory Cube (artiQ).
We will therefore be looking for a talented Front Arena Front Office Quant Analyst to look into the different VaR calculations and outputs, analysing the differences, identifying where the issues are arising and both showing the developers how to resolve the issues as well as taking hands-on part in the resolution themselves. You will be interacting with both the business side and technology side of the bank, working alongside some of the best Front Arena consultants in the world from Phi Partners.
The perfect candidate would have a total of 10 year’s Front Arena experience with some exposure and understanding of Cube technology and Adaptiv Analytics. On the technical side it will be highly advantageous if you have a good insight into ACM, and ADFL, as well as AEL for the integrations. The connection between Front Arena and Adaptiv is done by using Python to invoke .NET in Adaptiv, so knowledge of either language is highly advantageous. Of course on the functional side, it is crucial that you can show a full understanding of anything VaR and having the mathematical acumen to reverse engineer the different numbers for any FICC instruments (Fixed Income, Commodities (mainly precious metals), Credit and FX).
You will take on the pivotal role, solving the one of the most impactful issues in the FRTB project, working with directly Heads of Desks and C-level stakeholders and some of the newest technologies and solutions that FIS softwares have to offer. This opportunity will also really highlight your resourcefulness and capabilities for future employers.
