Front Arena Developer
Location: Stockholm, Sweden
Our current client is a major Swedish financial institution who predominantly focuses their businesses within banking for corporate, and private customers as well as Fixed Income trading. They are headquartered in Stockholm, but have a global presence with offices in key financial locations such as New York, London, Hong Kong, and Switzerland, being the most notable. With almost €170 billion AUM and 15 000 employees they are a powerful player in the financial markets.
They are currently undergoing a Greenfield implementation of Front Arena PRIME for all their trading, pricing and risk management needs across their Fixed Income trading activities, to replace their legacy system, Summit. The adaptability, the high investment in risk from FIS, and the general stability of Front Arena makes it a perfect fit for our client. We are now closing in on the last leg of the implementation life cycles, and as soon as the FIS Credit Limit system comes back from development, everything should be set to finish by June next year, with the potential of extra stabilisation time.
The ideal candidate we are looking for will be a Front Arena Developer with a minimum of 10 years of Front Arena experience to work with the local development team consisting of 4 developers, 3 BA’s, and an architect on the Front Arena, Front Office side. You will also be working alongside excellent Phi Partner consultants on the Summit side. Your tasks will consist of providing assistance in the implementation and develop customizations as well as doing configurations requested by the client.
You will need to be a person with strong Python and ADFL capabilities. AEF certification is expected, and you will of course need an impeccable understanding of Front Arena PRIME as well as its interacting components (such as ADS, ADM, AMB and ATS). A good understanding of Fixed Income (Bonds, Credit, Interest Rates and Repos) and their derivatives, as well as the full trade cycle along with pricing and risk is beneficial to understand the client’s requirements and needs. It would be particularly beneficial to have an understanding of Credit Limits, as the instalment of the brand new ALC component will commence when the go-live is prepared from FIS.
You will be stepping into the project at a critical point, positioning yourself as a valuable asset for future projects and extensions, liaising with heads of desks and users. You will be working with one of the newest versions of Front Arena that is available, located in Stockholm, one of the most beautiful cities Scandinavia has to offer working with fantastic teams on both sides of the project.
