Our Cloud Team The Public Cloud Centre of Excellence is a team of motivated professionals with more than 25 years of experience in the IT industry and 10+ years of public cloud consulting. The team is based in Europe, primarily in UK and Bulgaria, serving Phi Partners clients globally. Roles and Responsibilities Our clients that are looking to adopt public cloud strongly rely on Phi Partners to architect, develop, migrate the existing environments to the relevant public cloud platform and manage the infrastructure. As a part of ongoing support the Cloud Operations Engineer will be a part of the Managed Services team responsible for 24×7 ongoing operations ensuring the smooth functioning of cloud-based infrastructure. The role will involve: Monitoring and logging: Set up monitoring tools and agents to collect metrics, system performance data, and application-specific data. Configure these tools to collect and store logs, which could include application logs, system logs, and security logs. Ensure logs are accessible and searchable to facilitate troubleshooting and performance analysis. Alerting: Define specific criteria and thresholds for triggering alerts based on the data collected through monitoring. Configure alerting rules in your monitoring system to trigger notifications when certain conditions or anomalies are detected. Integrate with incident management and notification systems to ensure that the appropriate personnel are notified promptly. Establish escalation policies to ensure that alerts are addressed in a timely manner, including defining who should be responsible for different types of alerts and how they should be handled. Regularly review and refine alerting rules to reduce false positives and optimize incident response. Collaboration: Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including developers, DevOps Consultants, QA engineers, and operations staff, to streamline the development and deployment processes. Documentation: Documenting the cloud infrastructure and application configurations, procedures, and best practices to ensure consistency and enable knowledge transfer. Work coverage: The Cloud Operations Engineer will work on shifts to ensure 24×7 operations of the production cloud environments. Ongoing support: Take ownership of ongoing support activities (incidents, problems, changes, standard and non-standard service requests) and perform them according to the SLA and defined timelines. Client management: Manage on time, according to customer context, any escalation coming from a customer until resolution: provide a solution, manage customer communication, trigger the right experts and escalate internally if needed. About you You should possess the skills to support Public Cloud environments ranging from medium-sized to large-scale. Furthermore, it is important for you to be open to learning and staying updated with the latest technological advancements.
