The Summit application core is constantly evolving, with the addition of new features and the removal of legacy code. Staying up-to-date with the latest version is necessary to maintain vendor support levels, and enables access to the latest functionality.The arrival of the Summit FT platform introduces a new element to the latest upgrade projects for those who have Summit Classic installations; the FT front end uses a different programming language, more server hardware and deploys to users in a different way.
