Richard House Children's Hospice

Children's Hospices provide respite and terminal care for children and young people who are not expected to live into adulthood. There are currently around 40 children’s hospice services in the UK but, incredibly, until Richard House was opened in 2003, there were none in London.

The core purpose of Richard House is to accompany families with children and young people with life limiting or life threatening conditions during the child or young person's journey through life to death, creating positive experiences along the way which become good memories for the future.

One of the many delights of being involved with Richard House is the amazing range and diversity of people and communities that support the Hospice. One of the sidelines that our work promotes is the bringing together of people, who would not normally meet in their everyday lives.
